you rock, car audio advice. thank you so much for this tremendous article. Using the above, I diagnosed that my woofer amp needs a delay. what I am mystified yet about is why there was absolutely no issue for months, then, on the very day, after I fully reinstalled all the interior pieces of my car, it started happening, and I mean, each and every time. well, as long the delay works, that is all that really matters and I am so thankful for these awesome instructions.

In reply to Manuel. Are you using an auto turn on feature or do you have a remote turn on wire run to the amp?

My kicker amp my son out i.n was too small 400 kicker so I left the wiring as is and bought a 1200 kicker now the amp doesn’t turn off I have to disconnect battery all the time help sos

In reply to Jeff. Nope won't matter. Usually it's nicer looking wiring wise to wire the individual subs each in series, then wire the two subs together in parallel to the amp.

Is there a difference between wiring DVC subs up in impedance then running two subs in parallel bringing it back down. As opposed to wiring each sub down then running two subs in series bringing the load back up? The assumption is that the same subs are used in either case. The resistance on the amp remains the same, but will the sequence each is wired in change the performance of the subs?

Hi. My popping sound just started today, after the system has been in for about a month. Soon as the radio turns off, it pops & when I turn the volume to 0, it pops.

In reply to Mike. It's not recommended to mix impedances like that. It'll cause some weird issues with one sub getting more power than the others. Best to get all matching subs if you're running them on one amp
